WORKING GROUP 5 – Dissemination and outreach activities

WG5 focuses on ensuring that the knowledge produced within VISTA reaches audiences beyond the research network and contributes to public, academic, and policy debates on values in turbulent times. Our primary goal is to make the Action's findings visible, accessible, and useful to different stakeholders, including scholars, policymakers, civil society organisations, media professionals, educators, and the wider public.

A key part of our work involves translating research on value change, social cohesion, solidarity, tolerance, and universal values into formats that can support dialogue and evidence-based recommendations. WG5 therefore acts as a bridge between the scientific activities of WG1, WG2, WG3, and WG4 and the broader communities that can benefit from their results. This is consistent with the COST Action's aim to disseminate knowledge on how crises, social transformations, and technological change reshape citizens' values across Europe.

To achieve these goals, our planned activities include stakeholder engagement, workshops, academic dissemination, newsletters, the development and management of the official website and social media profiles, and the promotion of grants for Short-Term Scientific Missions and conference attendance.

We believe that dissemination is not only about communicating results, but also about fostering two-way exchange. By involving academics, policymakers, civil society, media, and educational communities, WG5 aims to strengthen the impact of VISTA and promote informed public reflection on the values that shape coexistence in Europe.
